brothers in arms

dust and weary bones
solace on the pavement
dream a little more
my brother
dream a little more
before the battle begins

you and I, we are
the untouchables
the unwanted
the unclothed and unfed
the broken mirrors
everyone turns away from

back to back, we’ll fight
we’ll fight to live
in the cruel light
and we’ll lay, side by side
in the dark, my brother
my brother in arms

Was going to ask if this is inspired by Dire Straits but I guess it isn't. Not quite the same thought, is it? :-)

not exactly. i use a lot of songs for my post titles.

when i was in delhi, i saw 2 kids on the pavement. it was dawn. the smaller kid was sleeping, and the other one was just watching - watching the smaller kid, watching the world around. this is about them.

btw, i love the song and the band too:-)

Just an out-of-the-blue question - do you like delhi? How much (or how little)?

i just don't like delhi sush, i love it. whenever i go home or some other place, i just can't wait to come back. and i think i know it more than my own native state.

So nice to know that, I started loving delhi when I got to know that I'd be leaving it. Till then I had taken the city for granted. (I have lived all my life in Delhi)

would have made more sense to me hd you written it as a note or something about your inspiration.

I am writing a song in my next post. And yes, it is not the title but the the entire song copied and pasted. :-)

Like your image. haha
